The Department of Political and Social Sciences (DSPS) promotes excellence in scientific production oriented toward the analysis and understanding of contemporary social and political transformations, connecting local perspectives to global dynamics.
Within this framework, the Department actively participates in major research funding schemes, developing and executing projects through competitive calls at European, national, and regional levels. Specifically, it adheres to the ERC excellence program and Horizon Europe, and is integrated into European University Alliances such as Erasmus+ and EUniWell. Furthermore, it is involved in ministerial calls issued by the MUR (including FIS, PRIN, and PNRR initiatives) and the MAECI, as well as those funded by the Region of Tuscany, public and private entities, and philanthropic foundations.
