Steering and Self-Assessment Committee (CIA)

The Committee is responsible for assisting the Department's governing bodies in resource allocation policies and in steering scientific research, knowledge transfer, and innovation activities. It is composed of the Chair, the Head of Department, and six members who ensure the disciplinary representation of the Department.

Committees

Communication and Public Engagement Committee

The Communication and Public Engagement Committee serves as the Department's point of reference for all non-profit activities directed at non-academic audiences, possessing educational, cultural, and societal development value through which the Department communicates the benefits of education and research outcomes. Its objective is to promote education for democracy and civic awareness, fostering knowledge acquisition and the full exercise of citizenship through participatory processes.

The Committee aims to promote and give visibility to public engagement activities carried out by the Department's professors and researchers through actions of support, coordination, and the creation of synergies within the Department, with other departments, and with external bodies.

In addition, the Committee assists the Department's governing bodies in planning and supervising all institutional communication activities.

Internationalization Committee

The Internationalization Committee oversees the promotion and enhancement of the Department's global dimension. Specifically, the Committee handles the coordination and communication of internationalization initiatives, the definition of operational proposals, and the organization of International Weeks. Furthermore, it offers support to Visiting Scholars invited to the Department.

Support Group for International Publications of Newly Hired Academic Staff

The Group aims to promote the Department's international profile, particularly through the international circulation of scientific publications by newly hired academic staff, as well as by establishing new international agreements, expanding mobility programs for professors, PhD students, and students, and enhancing the visibility and attractiveness of the Department in Italy and abroad.

It carries out coordination activities for the allocation of internationalization funds from the University’s unified budget, according to criteria established by the Department Board.

It supports other Committees in strengthening the international profile of degree programs, supporting student mobility, promoting interdisciplinary dialogue with scholars and PhD students from foreign institutions, and consolidating a comparative approach to the study of contemporary democracies.
