The course includes a theoretical part explaining the studies on consumption, places of consumption and consumption practices. The aim is first of all to understand consumption as a fundamental activity for the creation of individual and collective identities and meanings. The last part of the course, in fact, is dedicated to reflection on the political use of consumption and will address the theme of consumersism and will present some practices of buycotting and boycotting.
