Learning Objectives
The course aims to develop students' understanding of the issues related to Organizational Change. Through the study of both the theoretical and methodological aspects, the purpose is to analyze and discuss the size and the tools of change itself, identifying the factors and components that promote or inhibit its implementation, including both hard elements (lean organization, processes) and soft elements (knowledge, learning organization, leadership, culture).
The aim is also to learn to identify the reasons why it is necessary an organizational change process and to design the intervention steps assessing its impact at organizational level.

Course program
The module will analyze the main organizational change drivers, as well as the central aspects of change management and subsequent monitoring. Consistently, the course aims to understand how and to what extent the change processes are linked to organizational processes.
The central themes of the course will also be the logic of macro and micro organizational design, the Business Process Re-engineering, the Total Quality Management and the learning organization. The necessary attention will be devoted to human resources planning, including techniques for the roles setting and analysis, and the importance of the culture and leadership, as tools to support organizational development.
